Tell us about Court Farm...
Court Farm is a lovingly restored 16th-century farmhouse set in ten acres of gardens in the heart of the English countryside. The charming English courtyard and characterful vaulted barns offer couples the perfect blank canvas to create a truly memorable wedding day to suit your own personal style.
Court Farm is different to other wedding venues as we invite you to hire our beautiful venue and make it your home for the weekend. You can invite your nearest and dearest to join you to celebrate in your ‘home’, 14 of whom can stay in our luxurious and stylish boutique accommodation, so you can all feel at ease and take charge of your day, just the way you want it.
Court Farm is situated on the Somerset/Wiltshire border and offers extensive grounds and a beautiful setting to create the perfect rustic country wedding. You can host your guests within historic farm buildings surrounded by beautiful rural views; a stunning backdrop with a charmingly relaxed atmosphere.
Your wedding; your way. At Court Farm you have the flexibility to create the day you’ve always dreamt of. You can choose your celebrant, your caterer, your florist, your styling, your band/DJ and your bar offering, we don’t even charge corkage! Or we can also recommend tried and tested, wonderful suppliers.
This means you can choose how you wish to spend your budget; from a three course sit down meal in the newly converted industrial-chic Woolshed to a ceilidh and hog roast, the venue is so versatile, the choice is yours.
What does a typical wedding day look like at Court Farm?
Your booking includes two nights accommodation for up to 14 guests, arriving Friday morning. After a Friday spent styling the venue with as much or as little as you choose (Court Farm really doesn’t need anything at all, but you are welcome to personalise the space as much as you would like), spend the evening with 14 of your closest family and friends staying in our boutique accommodation.
On Saturday, start your rustic country wedding day exchanging vows with a ceremony in the open air, charming English Courtyard. Or tie the knot at one of our lovely local churches, and enjoy your reception bubbles and canapes in the Courtyard amongst the fig trees, lavender and white roses.
Meander towards the miniature pony meadow and The Woolshed; a spectacular industrial-chic space to host a wedding breakfast, and a great alternative to a marquee. It seats up to 108 and is furnished with rustic trestle tables, antique chairs, elegant floral hoops and festival festoon lighting (the tables and chairs can be moved to suit your favoured arrangement).
Then escort your guests to The Rustic Barn. Nestled amongst the grounds at Court Farm is a beautiful, vaulted rustic barn with exposed brick walls and a high beamed roof overlooking the apple orchard and duck pond, the perfect backdrop for a romantic country style wedding and a truly unique setting for post speech dancing, a band/DJ and bar! Dance the night away under the vintage chandeliers, and between your favourite songs, toast a marshmallow under the stars at the fire pit.
The venue includes boutique accommodation for up to 14 guests. With exquisite attention to detail the farm buildings have been immaculately refurbished with care to preserve the authentic characteristics of a Somerset farm, juxtaposed with chic modern touches, interior flair and utmost luxury. Throughout is an interesting mix of eclectic antiques and rustic furnishings all perfectly complimenting the rural setting and modernised rooms.
The Cottage (sleeps 4/6), the Cider Barn (sleeps 4/6), the Dairy (sleeps 2) and the Cow Byre (sleeps 2), are all positioned around our delightful Courtyard with outdoor seating, woodfired hot tub, pizza oven and BBQ, perfect for your Friday night or for brunch on Sunday.
The restored Cottage, Dairy, Cow Byre and Cider Barn provide luxurious en-suite sleeping accommodation with kitchen facilities and relaxed lounge areas.
The farm also boasts a huge, dramatic vaulted indoor barn room that provides the ideal space for entertaining your guests and also for pre-wedding hair and make-up pampering!
What's your favourite part of the venue?
Two things! The overall vibe at Court Farm - we’re charmingly rustic; a unique mix of country and industrial, where bohemian meets classic and modern meets vintage, we’re simple, elegant and romantic, and most importantly, relaxed, the perfect vibe for a wedding.
The Aladdins Cave Prop Store: To make your wedding planning even easier, we have an on-site wedding styling and props store. With a great catalogue of striking items the props will help you create a completely unique look tailored your individual style.
The collection consists of key statement pieces and striking architectural pieces, like the rustic handcart, perfect for creating a blossoming flower centre piece, or hosting a beautiful wedding cake. There is also a wide variety of eclectic vintage pieces to decorate spaces, like stacks of shabby chic leather suitcases, apple crates, 1950’s picnic hamper, or elegant cut glass decanters for decorating tables and perfect for serving a post toasting tipple!
We also have a huge range of vessels for flowers, from vases to milk bottles and jam jars, shepherds hooks to hang tea light jam jars from and antique brass candle sticks. All of this should save you the trouble of collecting your own styling elements as your wedding approaches.
What's new?
We have new boutique-hotel style signage around the venue, adding another element of luxury to the venue. This summer we’re adding even more festoon lighting around the venue, we love illuminating Court Farm!
