Tie the knot steeped in history at Hornsbury Mill

Set in the heart of Somerset, Hornsbury Mill is steeped in history and is a wonderful example of a converted 19th-century corn mill. Boasting 10 beautifully-presented en suite rooms, including the spectacular bridal suite, where you can even see the mechanics of the working water wheel.

The beautiful grounds are a real highlight here. Set around the lake the Mill is blessed with an abundance of wildlife as well as resident ducks and peacocks. The gardens offer some spectacular spots for those all-important photographs and feature a bridge over the lake and a sculptural fountain.

You have the choice of three ceremony areas here offering the flexibility of indoor or outdoor "I dos." The Cornloft is a romantic, candlelit space suitable for 100 loved ones to look on as you exchange your vows. The Lakeside Gazebo can host 100 too and is the most idyllic ceremony spot. Finally, the Orangery can host 60 and overlooks the lake, of which you'll have a fabulous view thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows.

The Lakeside function suite is the place for celebrations. It can seat 120 for a wedding breakfast before you all hit the dancefloor together later on. The venue offers a complimentary stay in the bridal suite on the night of your wedding, with bed and breakfast included.
