To celebrate the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen's birth, The Gainsborough Bath Spa Hotel has announced a series of exclusive events and experiences to honour the iconic author, in partnership with Strictly Jane Austen, a division of Bath-based travel specialists ECT Travel.

Over the course of two six-day programmes planned for spring and autumn 2025, the elegant five-start hotel in the heart of Georgian Bath will be filled with the spirit of Jane Austen as guests look back on her life and time in the very surroundings where she shaped several of her most significant works.

Literature enthusiasts from around the world are invited to take a deep dive into Austen's world and expect insightful talks from a variety of experts, who'll reveal fascinating stories of her life and works. The programmes also feature guided tours to some of Bath's most popular attractions and Jane Austen locations including No.1 Royal Crescent Museum, as well as day trips to the village of Lacock, whose picturesque streets were seen in the BBC's beloved 1995 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice. Visitors will also be treated to visits to Austen's House in Hampshire, and Chawton House, once the home of her brother.

All of this is enhanced by an array of convivial experiences capturing the spirit of the Georgian era, such as a Regency dance workshop, embroidery class, celebratory dinner hosted by The Gainsborough Bath Spa, and indulgent Jane Austen-themed afternoon tea.

If this sounds to be right up your Royal Crescent, find out more about the planned exciting Jane Austen activities at www.thegainsboroughbathspa.co.uk and https://strictlyjaneausten.com. Pssst... Also check out Strictly Jane Austen's hen party packages.
