Bristol Museum & Art Gallery has some extraordinary spaces for your wedding day. The venue offers civil ceremonies in its grand halls or stunning galleries followed by a wedding celebration of your choice. What's more, the incredible Edwardian Baroque architecture means the setting could not be more striking with glass vaulted ceilings, romantic balconies and sweeping staircases all steeped in history sure to give your big day the wow factor it deserves. Why not treat loved ones to a private viewing of one of the venue's many galleries to make your event truly unique?
If you choose to have your ceremony at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery it will begin at 6pm, with guests arriving from 5.40pm. A civil ceremony will last approximately 25 to 30 minutes depending on your choice of readings and the style of service you envision. For this part of the day you can opt for the Winterstoke Hall, the largest of the ceremony spaces with room for 224 guests. It boasts a grand staircase, double-height ceiling with first floor balcony surrounding from above.
Alternatively, for more intimate "I dos" you may choose the French Art Gallery, which can accommodate 64 nearest and dearest. This dark blue gallery is filled with beautiful, white decorative statues and located at the head of the room is a bridge with double staircases behind it. This is perfect to use as an altar and grand entrance.
Finally, The Old Masters Gallery can host 102 guests, while the Enlightenment Art Gallery is an option for 100 loved ones.
The venue's team of experienced staff will be on hand every step of the way to ensure your wedding day gives you and your guests happy memories to treasure forever.
